about the production
The dispute between the Government of Sri Lanka and Tamil separatists went on for more than 25 years. Before it ended in 2009, the conflict claimed up to 100,000 lives. More than ten years after the end of the civil war, coming to terms with events and the reconciliation process remain key issues. The centre for historical dialogue tries to promote creative tools to create spaces for dialogue and reconciliation.
“There is a need for more reflective spaces. And there’s a demand for creative tools in promoting the kind of dialogue, the spaces that we want to promote through our work. And we are basically creating that space”
